Much to my husband's chagrin, I hand fed it some nuts because it looked so pathetic. When I walked away to go into my house, it actually followed me. At that point my husband wound up joining me and even made a nest of rags in a shoebox. We felt ridiculous doing this for a rodent but he/she really did look pathetic.
